Work Description:

I worked with a nonprofit health organization: FilanSalud. With the neighborhood coordinator, I did vaccination campaigns and charlas on sex ed and various other issues. My husband Brian Randolph Baker was in the Youth-At-Risk group and worked for a non-profit called "Crecer", developing a counselor home-visit program.

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

We settled back in Portland, OR. I started working in Tech Support at a small software company, and am now the Manager of the department. Brian got a job as an elementary school counselor and is still there. We had 1 son in March 2002, and a daughter on the way.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

It changed my life and how I think permanently - in a good way. I am more critical, and appreciative, of my country.
