Work Description:
An agroforestry volunteer. Started up a tree nursery with a local youth group, opened a literacy center, held HIV/AIDS awareness seminars for a total of 300 youths, etc.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Have returned to Haiti for 3 months to implement a pig-raising project for the school in the village where i served. Am currently working as an environmental activist, directing a campaign office with the Fund for Public Interest Research, a nonprofit organization.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
I had an absolutely great experience. I left with a deep connection that will keep me going back to Haiti for the rest of my life.
