Hi, Bob and Barbara
During your tenure as Regional Director of the Northren Region of Somalia in 1964 I was a pupil at Hargeisa . I think you recieved us at your residence in Hargeisa (two of my friends and myself).
Following a career in Teaching, I become a director of Research in the Somali Academy of Sciences , later became fulbright scholar in University of South Carolina1986, and have a Ph.D. in Ocean Scinecs.
A civil war erupted in Somalia when I finished my studies and I could not return to Somalia. Now I am a member of the large Somali/Bristish Communtiy residing in London (UK) with my wife and eight Children some of whom graduated from the universities.
The Peace corps were inspiration for me. My thanks to all served in Somalia and elsewhere to educate and promote peace and mutual understanding among the peoples of the world.
