hi joseph
my name is hapo. i was development worker for the german development service and were based in nswazwi. i was there from 1999 - 2000. i am an architect and was commissioned to establish a new unit for draughtsmen. then after that year they took me out of that hell. they sent me to the capitol where i stayed for another 3 years with another task.
to be honest, the brigade where i worked was ruled by a zimbabwean mafia, which corrupted and terrorized the entire village. when i was there people were even afraid to talk about the coordinator and his fellows. my trainees were suffering, because those guys took the government money for their own amusement instead of spending it in food for my student. i am sorry to tell you , that this village was really depressing with scarred poor and suffering people and with fat zimbabwean guys who got fatter each day, abused and raped the female trainees and so on. actually i like zimbabweans, but this guys behaved like mugabe himself.
otherwise i loved botswana very much. i am still visiting my friends there each year since i left the country, i am always homesick. but forget about nsazwi, sorry to tell you that. take care. regards h.h.
