HI
My Name is Paul Elkins and I was a P.C in Fira starting in.66 and ending in 68. I loved living in Fira. We built a school. did ag extension and started the first small loan program for woman in Fira in association with LA CAJA AGRADIA in Tunja. The Peach Corps assigned a vounteer to the bank to spread the practice. I wonder if the Peace Corps was the beginning of the Micro Loan movement which garnered a Nobel Prize in India years later. I wonder if there are still small loans being offered to woman in Boyaca. Pacho Ortize was the Colombian from the Bank, who really made it happen. Ola Pacho. Sincerely Paul Elkins (Don Pablo)
