Annie -- So there was a PCV in Girardot (and with a first name similar to mine)! I had heard something mentioned (from someone in my pueblo) about the possibility of a volunteer being there -- but that was it. How I wish that I could have connected with you. I was "stationed" in Tocaima for the length of my tour, and because I was very shy, don't feel that I had the most successful service tour. I worked at the little hospital there as a RN. I am currently studying audiology (change of career; my youngest is graduating from high school this year). I have a goal of someday again returning as a PCV and serving as perhaps the first (?) PC Audiologist. Colombia will always be close to my heart. Do you have a desire to ever return to PC as a volunteer (sadly, don't think that Colombia will be a possibility any time soon)?
