Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

Since leaving Zaire in 1987, I've worked mostly as a freelance writer, publishing
hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles and five nonfiction books,
including a memoir of Peace Corps exerience called The Ponds of Kalambayi. I
now live in Takoma Park, Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C., with my
wife Catherine Varchaver and our four-year-old son Sasha.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

The PC experience was the most formative period of my life. It shaped me as a
writer.

Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:

I'd love to hear from anyone from my Sept. '84 fisheries training group
