Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
I moved to Juneau, Alaska in 1972 and married
Jamaica-RPCV George
Partlow in 1974. We had daughter Erika in 1976 and
daughter Hilary in
1979. We divorced in 1980. I remained in Juneau until
2000. I am now
semi-retired and living in Oregon. I am the grandmother
of five pre-school
children. I have a Masters Degree in Adult Education
and many years of
experience in education and would like to work at least
five more years. I
have enjoyed some international travel and would like
to combine travel
with work in the future.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps
days?:
My three years in the Peace Corps were exciting,
interesting, and rich.
I've never had a more valuable experience and am
grateful for all that I
learned. At the time I didn't realize that the PCV's
were the cream of the
crop of the country's youth.
Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:
I'd like to hear from anyone who was in Jamaica group
10 or 11 that might
remember me.
