Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Worked in Spain for a year after Peace Corps, then returned to the Twin Cities, worked with teenagers and community organizations, had a baby (son, Shaka, now 8 1/2 years old), went to grad school (nonprofit management & education for social change) and worked full-time (study abroad programs for MBA students) and single-mom'ed it... Found my life beloved with Eugene from Rwanda. Had another baby (daughter Eva, now 2 1/2 years old). Working as director of programs for an education nonprofit focusing on engaging college students in the most pressing issues of our time. Some international travel, lots of great food, friends, and love. Looking forward to moving to Africa with the family within the next 5 years. Inshallah.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Best thing I ever did.
