Training Group: women in development

Cities you served in: Boula Gandatchi

Arrival Year: 1994

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

Currently employed with Hostelling International-USA as the Pacific Northwest Regional Manager. Live in Seattle, WA with partner, Matt. Happy to see other Niger RPCV's on occasion

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

Despite serving in a country that appeared technologically isolated, I found I was more in tune with world events that back in the US. For all our technological advances and resources we are one of the most isolated and insular countries in the world. I find it the most singularly disheartening aspect of being an American

Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:

The welcome mat is open to one and all who do not have dog allergies- since we have a sloppy, overly freindly Golden Retreiver

Any message for returned volunteers?:

Keep in touch with other COS'rs. It helps to have someone to talk to when things get confusing
