Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
I went to graduate school, completing a masters degree and the
coursework for a PhD. I worked as a campus recruiter at Michigan State
University while in school. I became a certified economic developer and
am now the director of Community Development, Planning, and Zoning for
a semi-rural county in southern Michigan. I am married and have two
children.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Peace Corps service is many things to many people, much dependent on
their personal perceptions and the time and location of their service.
Regardless of that, Peace Corps makes a difference. It makes a difference
in the lives of those who serve because they learn more of what they can
be.It makes a difference in the lives of those who are served because they
learn new things and get a glimpse of another culture. And, it makes a
diference to those who see Peace Corps, because they see a way to make
Peace work.
