I was cheated by a person or a group persons who asked money in CFA currency. I do not where is the country using that money. The chronologies of the bad experience as follow. First I received an email like that.

After long correspondence, I and my group were accepted to the conferences, we had to paid half of the booking payment. There were 3 hotels, 2 of that was full. The available hotel only Souptown hotel. The rate for family room suite hotel was US$185 or CFA 197,000. Half payment for four night was around CFA 200,000, but he said only 200 CFA.

I was sent 200,000 CFA, but he said only 200. After I sent full payment booking he said like that

I advise you to contact the management of the selected hotels in Guinea Bissau and make a full payment for your five days period of stay in Guinea Bissau, to enable them send us a full payment receipt for the booking for your team.

By the request of Dr. Melvin Underwood (Chairman of the Organizing committee) of the International Conference against Racism and child abuse, I forward to you the U.S Non-Immigrant visa Application Form, because I have been notified of the visa approval for members of your group by the State Department .

The management hotel then no respond, because no email adresses existence. Becareful do not send any money, when someone you never met before asked it.

You know it's not authentic because they all write like Nigerian scam artists! Any legitimate conference will hire good writers for their publicity, will provide all the necessary information up front, will have a website that is not "under construction", will not make you pay 1/2 your lodging up front in foreign currency (it's called a credit card) and then pretend to doubt your commitment to coming to make you pay more--good lord how obvious can you be--and will certainly not b.s. you with promises that the sponsors will pay everyone's plane fares!! Come on folks, quit being so gullible!

I received a message this week from what they called World Youth Organisation for Human welfare,Baltimoore,USA and information is as the above experience;that there is ajoint conference on HIV and child abuse 5-7th Feb USA and 9-11th Feb 2008 in UK. I was selected by Tricia Brown one who says is a staffof this world body. An initation was written on email and that i get a group from my country. That all expenses will be met. Fortunately, God is on my side they were compiling their documents so that i tomorrow send the details to conference organisers, when i decided to check for this organisation on the web. Its very unfortunate.The authorities shd make a follow up of this nonsense and do something.

These scammers have moved from scamming western people into believing they have won a lottery they never entered, into scamming people from poor countries that they can get a free trip and visa into america. They prey on peoples' greed or desperation and it seems to be working.

Despite continuing efforts by the international community, to eradicate the infection of HIV/AIDS, the infection of HIV/AIDS persist among the youth in various parts of the world. In recent years, the world has witnessed campaigns to raise the awareness of the youth of the predicaments of the infection of HIV/AIDS.
The international conference on HIV/AIDS Prevention & Child Abuse/Labor will be a unique opportunity to create a new world vision for the fight against the infection of HIV/AIDS and the practice of Child Abuse/Labor in the new millennium. In order to have a real impact, the conference should not only promote greater awareness concerning the scourge of HIV/AIDS but also lead to decisive action at the international level in order to help those who suffer on a daily basis from HIV/AIDS and Child Abuse/Labor. Concerted efforts and contributions by Individuals, Governments, Inter-Governmental Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO,s) and the various international bodies and specialized agencies will be necessary to accomplish the objectives of the conferences, and to provide long-lasting solutions.
It will also afford participants to meet the donor communities, strike affiliations and partnerships and explore better ways of sourcing funds for their various activities among others.
We welcome delegations, Inter-Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO,s) to the International Conference on HIV/AIDS and Child Abuse/Labor. This is the start of the formal phase of the conference process, although a number of useful informal meetings have already taken place in different parts of the world. We expect that this event can and should give a powerful impetus to the work of laying the foundation for a successful combat against the infection of HIV/AIDS and Child Abuse/Labor.
REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANTS:
Only a minimum of three (3) or a maximum of five (5) people are expected to participate together as a group or Organization to represent their country in this forth-coming events. None of them should be less than eighteen years of age and must participate in both Conferences. It's not necessary that one must belong to an Organization to be eligible to attend this event. Any group of three (3) or five (5) persons forming a group to represent a country are eligible to participate in the forth-coming combined international conferences.
They should be in possession of their international passports to enable them participate in these conferences. For registration to participate in this event, you may forward the names and passport numbers of your group members to us, as soon as possible, as all participants visa assistance request will be forwarded to the U.S Department of State for same day visa Authorization which shall be sent by fax to the consular section of the U.S. embassy, in your country of residence. All registered participants are entitled to a round trip Air tickets, meals and Accommodation during their stay in the U.S.
Delegates will only be responsible for their own Hotel Reservation Booking in Senegal where the second phase of the international conference will be held due to the inability of our partner Organization in Africa to mobilize enough funds to sponsor the number of expected delegates to attend both conferences.

After reading from some of you and looking at the date of your posting,i realised that i am the next person they targeted.
It was the same letter with the person who posted the blog of November26,2007 but this time the lady called herself Steph Washington.I replied then she wrote again but it seemed too cloudy for me to believe thouhg she arranged it so well.For more insight,i decided to find out about the organisation this is how i got to this site.
My piece of advice to you is that,even if it is a deal with a white be very tactful and critical about everything until proven contrary.A couple of months ago it was a Briton by name James Favour who tried to dupe me.Thank God,while he played the game well,i also played it tight.

The "Lady" wrote me saying that the 2008 conference will be in Califonia and Dakar, Senegal and when i search for the website bearing the organisation's name:WORLD YOUTH ORGANIZATION FOR HUMAN WELFARE,the disparity is that the conference will be in Guinea Bissau and not Senegal. I just laugh!!!!! and i warn you to always verify and be sure befor you spend an cent on things like these
