In 1997 did not marry ex-PCV Derica Griffiths. In 1998, went to Vanuatu to teach English and study for the priesthood. Was ordained priest and sent to small village of Lorevilko, Saint Alban's parish in Santo Bush. No lights, no boats, no motor cars, not a single luxury. In 2003, called to work in the Bishop's Office in Santo.
