Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

Since 1991, I have enjoyed many different volunteer and pleasure
experiences, in and out of the US: '93 Ecuador-6wks attended Spanish
school; '96 East Africa-3 months-divided time between Tanzania and
Kenya-did not join organized group (traveled with an co-teacher friend
from Alaska)-went to Habitat for Humanity sites where project leaders put
us to work in remote villages; then participated in 8 programs with a
nonprofit org., Global volunteers to: Costa Rica, China, India, Vistnam,
Poland, Navajo reservation in Arizona (this on with my husband, Gil),
Ireland (took our 16 yr old granddaughter with me), small community in
Minnesota (Pelican Rapids) and will go to Ghana 7-7-02 with another
granddaughter with same org.; 2001 Raratonga, Cook Islands, again with
my teacher friend. On most of these trips, I was involved in teaching
conversational English-all fantastic experiences, avg program-3 wks. Still
live in Anchorage, Alaska with husband, Gil, (2 years in the Peace Corps
was enough for him so he stays home most of the time!)

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

I still devote most of my traveling time trying my best to wage peace
through friendship and understanding

Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:

any RPCV who served in Ghana--I am going there 7-7-02 for 4 wks and
taking my 15 yr old granddaughter to participate in a volunteer program

Any message for returned volunteers?:

hope your experience was as positive as mine was
