Fisheries - analysed challenges facing prior 25 years of fisheries in Sierra Leone; developed aquaculture sites in rural villages; taugh to Makali Fish Station; taugh fisheries at military base in Makeni.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Studied law, culinary arts and finance. Married with two kids. Traveled back to Sierra Leone in 1993 and spent two months reviewing what life was like without international aid organizations around, and to see what happend to the fisheries projects.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Wish I could do it all over again. Wish I could have got to know other volunteers better and spent time at their sites.

Hello Dan-
My name is Colleen Barry. I Think I remember training with you in SC and Makali. I left SL shortly after training, because of Milaria. It sounds like you accomplished something while in Sierra Leone. If I remember you correctly you were pretty focesed on your mission, I hope it turned out well for you. It sounds like it did.
I am preparing for a discussion group tomorrow for a local Middle School concerning serving in the Peace Corp. Browsing the internet I found this listing.
Anyway I hope all is well. It must have been something going back in 93. I wouldn't mind returning at some pioint to Sierra Leone.
