Kathmandu Kindergarten 1966 2 American teachers
My name is Mike Mongan – in about Feb 1966 as a 20 year old Australian I visited Kathmandu in Nepal and met 2 American girls with the Peace Corp. I believe they were running a kindergarten for kids who’s mothers were working in a carpet factory in or near Kathmandu.
From time to time I wonder what happened for them.
If anyone can give me news I would greatly appreciate it as their example lead me to do a stint with Australian Volunteers Abroad in New Guinea in 1966.
Maybe they were not with the Peace Corps - I now remember something about them being air hostesses.
