I’m one of the volunteers headed to Cameroon at the end of September ‘06. I’ve been told that I am being posted in Northern Cameroon, as a Sahel-Agro-forestry volunteer. The packing list suggests that agricultultural volunteers bring some sort of waterproof boots, but I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I’m not sure if I should spend the money (and carry around) a heavy/durable pair of boots instead of a good pair of sneakers. I'm also wondering how cold it gets and if there are any other essential packing items y'all would advise folks to bring. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
