Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Returned home to Alaska in 1970 and served as the state Public Defender for five years. Filled the same position for the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. When the Northern Mariana Islands separated from the Trust Territory to become a US territory I was the first judge. I served from 1979 through 1985, returned to Alaska where I served as the director of criminal prosecutions. Retired from Alaska Government in 1990 and went to Sao Tome & Principe as head of the new PC program. Returned to the Northern Marianas in 1993, served as Attorney General and I am now retired and serving as a senior judge (cases by appointment).
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
It was a very important experience in my life. In addition to any positive contribution I could have made it gave me a language and an understanding of the world that I could not have gained in any other way.
Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:
I have kept up with many of my former volunteers and staff associates.
