In 1965 PCV Jeff was assigned to a small fishing village not far from Ica. After several weeks of making friends in his town, he decided to ask a local Peruvian girl to the movies. Unfortunately, a large number of her family members decided to come along. Jeff made the mistake of holding her hand during the movie and then the next day rumors were flying all over town that he was going to marry the girl.
