Hello volunteers:

I recently returned from Tanzania, where I was touched deeply by the people, the children in particular. Along the roads, children signaled that they wanted pens and I was told that they had to provide their own school supplies in order to attend school. After my return, I checked the official government web site. It indicated that the government would no longer fund primary education because of a lack of resources and was looking to the private sector to meet this need.

I am seeking to communicate with recently returned Peace Corps volunteers from Tanzania to obtain more information about the recent education situation and suggestions for courses of possible action. My intention is to devote myself to finding sponsors to assist these children in accomplishing their dreams.
