Work Description:
Child Health education in Mpherembe. In Bwengu I did both Child Health and AIDS Education at the Bwengu clinic.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Moved to Lexington, KY and got my Masters of Social Work while working at a non-profit HIV/AIDS agency. In 2004 moved to London, UK and worked in a South London hospital as a discharge social worker for persons over age 65. 2006 Moved back to Lexington, KY and am working as a social worker in the University of KY College of Medicine, Infectious Disease Clinic.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
Whether the times were good or challenging, it was one of the most amazing times of my life.
