Hi,
My son , Conor, is a Peace Corps Volunteer in Lugarawa, a small village outside of Njombe in Southwestern Tanzania where he teaches Biology & Chemistry. He started and coaches the secondary school soccer team.
Like many villages in Tanzania, Lugarawa faces a growing population of children orphaned when their parents die from AIDS. Conor wants to help address this and other needs and I am trying to help. So, I'm posting this message to ask those who've been there for advice on obtaining financial and "in-kind" support for Conor's projects which include an HIV Aids Awareness Soccer Tournament and shipping reconditioned PC's from an NGO in Maryland for use in his school.
Although our extended family has been making contributions, amounts are small. I am not affiliated with a church group or other organization in a position to contribute. But I do have time and a desire to help. Any advice, ideas or links you might provide would be greatly appreciated by Conor and myself.
Thanks,
Rick Sullivan
