Alisa Woofter, hello my name is Stephen Danaher. I am writing to you from Huancayo, Peru. I live here now. I was just I guess they call it surfing the net and did a Google search on Candelaria and various things popped up.. Alisa, back in the 1970's I lived in Cochabamba for 4 years and visited all over Bolivia. And believe it or not had a friend that lived at the Hacienda. His name was David Worters. An englishman, well actually a Scotsman.. Anyway Alisa, I stayed with him for about a week one time at Candelaria and never ever forgot it. Who is the owner, or who was the owner.?? I will be visiting Bolivia again later in the year. I want to come over to see a friend in Tarija, and will visit Potosi and Sucre. And now of course Candelaria. Hopefully you will still be there.. ((I want to buy some textiles for myself. Not to sell, just to have)) But I have always wondered how David came upon that place. He was my best friend, probably closer to me than my own brothers. We lost him now, probably 12-14 years ago on the road from LaPaz-Coroico where he had a finca in Yoloso. I sincerely hope this e-mail eventually gets to you. You can always reply to my personal e-mail and we can chat some evenings if you get to stay in Sucre..Thank you so much. If you know of other people out at the Hacienda you might even ask them. They might remember David. He had a couple of cross bows. Seriously. We used to shoot at the wall across the way from what now looks like a storage place. Thats where we lived. There was a room with 100's of Cuyes..
Thank you so much.
Stephen

Hi Stephen--saw your OLD message about Candelaria and wonder if you ever got connected with ALisa and Candelaria folks. I was there on the day she opened the exciting new museum she created during her PC stint. I was with Elizabeth Rojas who owns (mom owns) the Hacienda; she is an old friend of mine. Let me know if you got in touch and all....
Best, Cynthia
