I am James P Ramon, a graduate of the Phillipine Military Academy Class of 1962. Sometime during the mid 60's, I met a peace corps volunteer named Sally Googins in Talavera(our town), Nueva Ecija, Philippines through my youngest sister name Editha. Sally is a good swimmer, this I observed once when I invited her to the annual reunion of the Field Artillery(my branch of service in the Armed Forces of the Philippines). I am seeking help on how I can get in touch with Sally, as well as LTC Carl Mott who was the CO of the American artillery unit in Tay Ninh, South Vietnam with whom I worked closely as a member of the Field Artillery Btry of PHILCAGV(Philippines Civic Action Group to Vietnam) in 1968 while a First Lt. I am now retired and is on my first visit to US, visiting my son who recently finished his Ph D (Chemistry) at the Univ of Houston. Hi Sally,
How was your trip to Hawaii for your 50th wedding anniversary? Were you able to assemble all your children and grandchildren during that very important/memorable occasion, especially Ian who has to travel all the way from Dubai?
How was the celebration? What attractions around the area did you tour/visit? Did you go back to CONUS directly or visit/pass by some other countries on your way home?
Congratulations to you and Mike on your 50th year together. To me, US is notorious for high rate of divorce. I know that it involve a lot of give and take to last that long, I know because I am doing/going thru it now..
My 8th chilld (John Kennedy S. Ramon) is also working in Dubai. He is 35 now and is still single but I understand is now in a relationship with a nurse who also work in Dubai.
My 7th child (John Rockefeller S Ramon) is a nurse and married another nurse (Rosalie). Rosalie went to US last August and is now working as a nurse in Colorado. My son, with two kids aged 4 & 2 will travel to join Rosalie middle of this month with my wife Vicky to assist with the two kids and see to it that the family is settled down properly at home and at work. Vicky might be there up to April next year. This Christmas will be our first family gathering without Vicky.
Vicky always manage to have so much with so little during the occasion. My children and grandchildren will try to manage on our own during Vicky's absence.

How are you?
You mentioed last time about going to Hawaii to celebrate your 50th wedding anniversary. How did it go? And who were with you aside from your immediate family?
My 50th wedding anniversary with Vicky is on 07 September 2019 I like to maximize their attendance (at least for those who are still around because no member of my family was able to attend my wedding because it was held in Tay Ninh City, South Vietnam) in 1969.
I am OK for now but closely monitoring/guarding my blood sugar/type 2 diabetes.
Vicky is presently in Houston, Texas visiting our son teaching in Hightower High School after accompanying our other son with two kids to join his wife working as a nurse ln Colorado last 14 December 2017.
Vicky will be back to the Phil by April this year.

This is just to update myself on you two and your children. is your boy still working in Dubai? How have you been managing re:COVID-19?
I HOPE YOU ARE ALL OK. I am presently staying with my 4th child, Amparo Margarita and her two children in Binmaley, Pangasinan observing self-quarantine as a precaution re:COVID-19.John Glenn still teaches at Hightower HS. My 7th child John Rockefeller and his wife both work as Nurse in the Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.Thr oldest and eldest girl are active officers in the Armed Forces of the Philippines.the remaining two are self employed.. My wife Vicky, now a retired colonel in the nurse corps, manage a drinking water delivery service. That's all. Regards.
