May I suggest that the volunteer readjustment allowance be raised to reflect the cost of living. At present the RA of approximately $6,000 is not enough to cover 1st and last month's rent, utility hook up costs and daily expenses of the job search, much less a car, insurance, etc. Senator Dodd's bill makes sense for volunteers in the field, but let's help those of us trying to get reestablished back home.
