Peace Corps Volunteer / Business Education Specialist & Consultant 1999 to 2001
• Developed curriculum, designed education materials, and delivered 16-week courses to over 250 Russian university students in strategic planning, business development, marketing, finance, and accounting.
• Obtained funding and organized training conferences for English language instructors.
• Consulted with local area Russian non-profit organizations and created English websites.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
Continued to work in Russia and the Former Soviet Union on international education projects, international development and public health programs. Returned to Russia 2005-2006 as an Alfa Bank Fellow working on anti-corruption and transparency issues with large multi-national companies.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
It did exactly what I had hoped, it expanded my life and understanding in totally unique ways.
