Peru Country director Frank Mankiewicz to Speak at Monterey Institute of International Studies
Mr. Mankiewicz was president of National Public Radio. He was also the regional director for the Peace Corps in Latin America, campaign director for 1972 Democratic presidential nominee George McGovern, and press secretary to Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Mr. Mankiewicz has been active in national and regional politics, serving as a senior adviser to political candidates.

Frank Mankiewicz to Speak at Monterey Institute of International Studies
Frank Mankiewicz, current vice chairman of the renowned communications consulting firm, Hill & Knowlton, will be speaking at the Monterey Institute of International Studies at 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 4th. “A Conversation with Frank Mankiewicz” is the title of the forum where he will share his thoughts and experiences on a broad range of topics related to policy formations, operating practices of public relations firms in nation’s capital, and what the next generation needs to know about how government operates so they can reform the system and restore legacy. Mr. Mankiewicz will also entertain questions from the general public. The conversation will be moderated by Tony Seton, Founder and CEO of the Quality News Network, and adjunct professor at The Monterey Institute of International Studies, currently teaching a class in “media management in public policy.”
Frank Mankiewicz has had a seasoned career in media relations, domestic politics, law, and journalism. He has authored several books covering topics in politics and media. Before joining Hill & Knowlton’s predecessor, Gray and Company in 1983, Mr. Mankiewicz was president of National Public Radio. He was also the regional director for the Peace Corps in Latin America, campaign director for 1972 Democratic presidential nominee George McGovern, and press secretary to Senator Robert F. Kennedy. Mr. Mankiewicz has been active in national and regional politics, serving as a senior adviser to political candidates.
