Peace Corps Volunteer Jessica Griffin needs aid after accident in Mozambique
Jessica Griffin, a 2000 graduate, was riding in a car Nov. 16 when it collided head-on with another vehicle. She was airlifted to Unitas Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa, where she remains in critical, but stable condition. She is being treated for fractures to her skull, face, left arm, hip and damage to her spinal cord. Her family has flown out to be with her and has established a foundation to help with their expenses, which include traveling, temporary housing by the hospital and lost wages.

FERNDALE -- The family of a Ferndale High School graduate who was seriously injured this month in Mozambique while serving in the Peace Corps is seeking prayers and financial assistance.
Jessica Griffin, a 2000 graduate, was riding in a car Nov. 16 when it collided head-on with another vehicle. She was airlifted to Unitas Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa, where she remains in critical, but stable condition.
She is being treated for fractures to her skull, face, left arm, hip and damage to her spinal cord.
Her family has flown out to be with her and has established a foundation to help with their expenses, which include traveling, temporary housing by the hospital and lost wages.
