Work Description:
Teacher trainer in the ELA (English Language Assistance) program--I also started a special education program.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
I taught English for one year in Nogales, AZ immediately upon returning to the US. Then, I taught for two years in St. Louis, Mo at John F. Kennedy Catholic High School. After that, I went to Yuma, AZ and taught for six years at Yuma Catholic High School. This year (2008) I will be moving to Fresno, CA to teach high school English.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
It opened professional doors for me, and I am today a better person because of my experience.
