RECENT EVENTS IN LIBYA HAVE MADE ME THINK AGAIN ABOUT OUR TIME IN THAT COUNTRY WHICH ENDED WITH THE COUP BY THE CURRENT REGIME.

JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE FROM THE 68-69 IS OUT THERE. ESPECIALLY WONDERING ABOUT THE VOLUNTEERS FROM ZAWIA. JAN & EDDIE WOODS, HAROLD AND ELLEN MCELHENNEY, ALEX AND RENIE. MATT AND DINA? SCANLON, AND THE SINGLE GUYS.

THE ONLY NAME I RUN INTO IS FRANK HUDDLE FROM TRAINING. I SAW HIM INTERVIEWED AS A SURVIVOR OF THAT HIJACKED PLANE THAT CRASHED OF THE BEACH IN EAST AFRICA SEVERAL YEARS AGO. ALSO, PEOPLE IN KNOW IN THE N.G.O. COMMUNITY MENTION HIM AND SAY HE RECALLS HIS CONNECTION WITH THE LIBYA PROGRAM.

ALSO, IF YOU REMEMBER BOB AND PAM RITER. BOB, WHO WAS A MEDIEVAL LIT MAJOR, STARTED A BANK IN THE CHICAGO AREA AND APPEARS TO BE THRIVING.

Dear Mr. Eddie Woods,

I am looking for an Eddie Woods that might have attended MTSU (Middle Tennessee State University) in 1969 or at least had friends that went there that he might of hung out with. He would have red curly hair and green or blue eyes. I would guess he would be between the ages of 53 and 60.
If you are the Eddie Woods I am looking for or if you should know the Eddie Woods I am looking for my contact information is below. Please get in touch with me. You can call me collect if necessary.
I really need to find him.
I am just leaving my email addy here since this is a public forum.
Thank You For Your Time,

Kaye Elliott

Events in Libya have me reflecting on the summer of 1969. My wife Diane and I were in training for Libya in Bisbee, AZ. A great experience but we never found another program and so never served in country. Several years ago John Giordano (a volunteer trainer) and I exchanged a few e-mails. Otherwise I haven't been in contact with anyone in the Bisbee training program. Now I wish I had stayed in contact with some of the Libyans who came to Bisbee. Would enjoy hearing from anyone in the program.

Serendipity, Vince. I, too, and my wife at that time, Barbara, were in the training program that summer in Bisbee. I remember John G. and Malcolm T., but I don't recall many others. Ron Schwarz got married at a city park that summer which was a perfect ceremony. I never ended up serving either but that summer was a experience I haven't forgotten. Your message was from 6 years ago so I'll hope that you've made contacts since then. I'm thinking of returning to Bisbee to look around this winter. Your response to this would be great.
