Terry Vogt, 52, is the President of ARBI Transnational, Inc., a San Francisco, California based affiliate of the ARBI Group. Mr. Vogt was graduated from Harvard College in 1968 with a degree in Latin American History. After serving in the Peace Corps in Brazil, as a volunteer and as a staff-member, he received an MBA in 1976 with an emphasis in operations research from the University of Colorado. From 1976 to 1986 he was an officer of Wells Fargo Bankís International Banking Group, serving successively as Representative in Brazil, as CEO of a wholly-owned international merchant banking subsidiary, as manager of global funding, and finally as head of international investment banking. Mr. Vogt has been the senior international officer of the ARBI Group since 1986. The Group's accomplishments include the largest debt/equity swap undertaken during the 1980ís in Brazil, the re-engineering of the copper business in the Southern Cone in the 1990ís, and a substantial new investment in cellular telephony and pay TV during 1997-1999
He is active in the San Francisco community, currently serving as Chairman of the Brazil Society of Northern California, and as a Member of the Boards of Trustees of the World Affairs Council of Northern California, the Pan American Society of California, and the International Diplomacy Council.
In November 1996, the President of Brazil, Fernando Henrique Cardoso, awarded Mr. Vogt with the Order of Rio Branco for his work in developing trade and investment between Brazil and the United States. Previous Page
