I am currently a student of Oriental Medicine. I hope to be finished with school in the next two years. I am looking towards finding an opportunity to travel to Afrika and work in an area that could benefit from people with an eagerness to help people who do not have access to adequate medical care. Do you know of any international organizations that post healing opportunities?

Do you know if the books of Skya Gardner are translated into french ? I teach advanced classes of Shiatsu, practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbalism. The book on Palpatory diagnosis is excellant. I would be so pleased that more people know about it. If no one has started the translation work let me know. I'll be happy to do it.

I think Skya Gardener-Abbate's "Palpatory Dignosis" is one of the most practically useful books not only for acupuncturists but for all practitioners. I use it as a recommended text in my courses for my students because it offers a novel and eminently useful and practical, hands-on experiential tool for body assessment and treatment through touch -- so that for massage practitioners and herbalists it is a wonderful medium to incorporate as part of one's clinical protocol.
