Chimbote Returned Peace Corps Volunteers have established a
Message Board and Discussion group at:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ChimbotePCVolunteers
which is open to any returned volunteer who served in Peru.
The purpose of this group is to communicate with one another in order to:
1. Organize a special Chimbote reunion September 20-23 in Washington
during the RPCV's 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Peace Corps
2. Share news of Peru leading to the inauguration of Cholo Chimbotano
Alejandro Toledo, who some of us knew in Peru and some of us knew him
in his U.S. sojourns.
3. Organize other events and trips to Peru.
Nancy Meister (Chimbote 1964-65), Becky Aaron Ronstadt (Chimbote 1965-67),
Bob Pearlman (Chimbote 1965-67), and Michael Wolfson (Arequipa) will serve as
moderators of the group. All of the members will be able to write to the group,
but messages will be edited,and digested, before transmission to the group
so that you will not be inundated with emails.
