About Nepal 28

Nepal 28 was an American Peace Corps group of math-science teachers. Training began on November 1, 1971 at Cactus Corners (University of California), Davis, California. It consisted of an intensive eight-week program. Included in the subjects studied were Nepali language and culture, and secondary education training. Nepal 28 was the last Peace Corps group to train at Cactus Corners; subsequent Nepal groups had all training in Nepal.

Upon arrival in Nepal on January 5, 1972, trainees took part in a four-week orientation/training program at Peace Corps in Kathmandu and in various locations around Nepal. Volunteers were enrolled in February 1972.
