Marla Bush
Marla Bush is the International Coordinator for the Administration on Aging (AoA), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Her work includes coordinating and developing activities in the federal government related to the International Year of Older Persons 1999, working with a number of countries and organizations to develop binational efforts relating to aging, and coordinating all other AoA international activities. For ten years she served as a project officer for research and demonstration projects in aging. Prior to joining AoA, she worked in programs related to welfare and children, including 3 years as a social worker/university field work instructor at the Jerusalem Center for Child and Family Development in Jerusalem, Israel and 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ft. Lamy, Chad. She holds an M.A. in African Studies from American University and an M.S.W. from the University of California, Berkeley.
