Country of Service: Thailand and Vanuatu

Training Group: APCD

Cities you served in: Bangkok and Port Vila

Arrival Year: 1993

Departure Year: 2007

Work Description:

I was PTO in both Thailand and Vanuatu. My husband and I volunteered in Romania but with another organization, CEP/OSI

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

Currently in Indonesia, hoping PC will open up there

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

Quite a few changes, both security post 911 and in terms of human expectations and health. Even with 2 tours 15 years apart, I say PCVs are the best that America can offer and the PC staff represent the best of the host country.

Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:

RPCVs Thailand 1993-95
RPCVs Vanuatu 2006-07

Any message for returned volunteers?:

Keep in touch with each other! No need to reinvent reverse culture shock strategies and networking works as well in the US of A as it does overseas!
