I worked in Tatene Bambara as part of the Animation Rurale program, then worked a third year as a "regional coordinator" for the program in Thies

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

Worked in a restaurant in Eugene, Ore., then got a masters in journalism, headed to washington, married, had a daughter (who has been to senegal twice), worked as a journalist nearly 40 years in washington, paris and new york, now semi-retired in new york city.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

The single most life-forming thing I have ever done.
