Obituary for Honduras RPCV Scott Hipp
Those who knew him knew him to be a very unique, courageous man. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras from 1979 to 1982. He continued to live in Honduras after his Peace Corps service to continue working with poor people there. He made a great impact on the lives of all of the people that he met, as he was quick to offer assistance and friendship.

Scott Christian Hipp, 52, of Howard Gap Road, Saluda, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, in Elizabeth House.
Born in Maryland, he was the son of Jimmy and Jeannie Hipp. He was a good friend. Those who knew him knew him to be a very unique, courageous man. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras from 1979 to 1982. He continued to live in Honduras after his Peace Corps service to continue working with poor people there. He made a great impact on the lives of all of the people that he met, as he was quick to offer assistance and friendship.
Surviving are two sons, Kenny Hipp of Mill Spring and Scott Hipp of Spartanburg, S.C.; three daughters, Shani Hipp of Mill Spring, Christy Hipp of Houston and Jeannie Hipp of Manassas, Va.; his ex-wife, Julie Hipp; a sister, Bonnie Hipp of Ohio; and a brother, Howard Hipp of Texas.
He will be missed dearly and remembered for the rest of our lives. He is survived by many best friends and brothers of his Peace Corps Service.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight in the McFarland Funeral Chapel. A private service will be held at a later date. An online guest register may be signed at www.mcfarlandfuneralchapel.com.
