Kris Holloway to speak on her book "Monique and the Mango Rains: Two Years with a Midwife in Mali"
Holloway has written an account of a Peace Corps volunteer who strikes a lifelong friendship with a Malian midwife, Monique Dembele. It is one of the few personal accounts about the pleasures and frustrations of Peace Corps life, yet also informs its readers of the realities of rural African life with its own particular joys and tragedies.
