After getting evacuated in August 1999, I was transferred to Togo, West Africa. I returned to the States by the end of the year due to several different reasons.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
I've had opportunity to work overseas in several locations in Christian missions - Vietnam, Thailand, Madagascar, and now in Kenya. My husband and I are in Kenya as career missionaries with the International Mission Board.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
I can't even tell how much I learned and grew during my time in the Peace Corps. It was a wonderful time as well as difficult, but overall, it was a fantastic experience!
