Mr. Connor has spent 14 years in the field fostering grassroots community development in Africa and Asia. Beginning his work with the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa, he later served as a senior field director for a leading international non-profit agency, most recently in Myanmar.

Samuel Connor will be the guest speaker at the League of Women Voters of Weston’s 10th annual luncheon and Betty Hill Forum on International Affairs.
Mr. Connor has spent 14 years in the field fostering grassroots community development in Africa and Asia. Beginning his work with the Peace Corps in Togo, West Africa, he later served as a senior field director for a leading international non-profit agency, most recently in Myanmar.
Mr. Connor, the director of Foundations and Trusts at Save the Children, will be speaking about what has and hasn’t worked in international development and where challenges and opportunities exist for meaningful change.
This year’s LWV luncheon and Betty Hill Forum will be held at the Red Barn restaurant in Westport on Friday, May 15. There will be a reception beginning at 11:30 followed by the lunch and presentation.
