RPCV Jerry Wirth, the current president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, is being honored by the U.S.-Baltic Foundation
Wirth first went to the Baltic region in 1992 with the Peace Corps, according to the foundation's Web site. He has since founded two multi-million dollar companies in Latvia and is being honored "because he exemplifies the kind of tangible and moral contributions to Baltic societies made by many American entrepreneurs," the Web site said.

Waterman native to be honored by foundation

Jerry Wirth, a graduate of Waterman High School and the current president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Latvia, is being honored by the U.S.-Baltic Foundation with a special achievement in business award, according to a news release from Wirth's family.
Wirth first went to the Baltic region in 1992 with the Peace Corps, according to the foundation's Web site. He has since founded two multi-million dollar companies in Latvia and is being honored "because he exemplifies the kind of tangible and moral contributions to Baltic societies made by many American entrepreneurs," the Web site said.
The U.S.-Baltic Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 1990 to support democratic and free-market reforms in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
