Scott Rowland says he’s going to make a run for the mayor’s seat in Peachtree City in the next election.
“Having lived in Peachtree City my whole life (a product of Peachtree City Elementary, Booth Middle School and a graduate of McIntosh High School), I appreciate what makes Peachtree City special.
“I believe that a Mayor should LEAD, show initiative, set specific goals, build teams, listen, and be thoughtful and creative.
“This is the definition of a true leader. Other facets of leadership are to influence people and organizations and to recognize and reward members of the community for their achievements and contributions.
“I am an Eagle Scout from Troup 175 at Peachtree City United Methodist Church. What this means to you is that I am willing to work hard to achieve a goal. I graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Business Administration.
“I served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala as a Small Business Advisor.
“I am also a member of the Peachtree City Rotary Club, Fayette County Chamber of Commerce and Young Professionals of Fayette County.
“I will strive to always lead with the highest ethical and moral standards. If given the opportunity to serve,
“I will put what is best for the community of Peachtree City foremost in all my efforts as mayor.
I will come to the job of mayor unencumbered and without ties to any special interest group.
I look forward to being your mayor. My home is Peachtree City…it is the center of my family, my business, my faith and my enthusiasm. I currently work as a licensed Registered Investment Advisor for a top financial planning firm out of Atlanta.
