They will be the 25th group of Peace Corps volunteers to work in Bulgaria. They will devote 2 years of their lives to boost local development in predominantly underdeveloped regions in the country. The Americans had a 10-week crash courses in Bulgarian language and culture and lived in families in 15 towns across the country.

62 Americans from Peace Corps to take oath in Vratsa
On 24th July, 62 American volunteers will swear an oath at the presence of US Ambassador to Bulgaria Nancy McEldowney and representatives of Bulgarian ministries. They will be the 25th group of Peace Corps volunteers to work in Bulgaria. They will devote 2 years of their lives to boost local development in predominantly underdeveloped regions in the country. The Americans had a 10-week crash courses in Bulgarian language and culture and lived in families in 15 towns across the country. After 24th July, there will be altogether 156 Peace Corps American volunteers working in the areas of education and youth development in the country.
