Obituary for India RPCV Michael Hoff
Mr. Hoff joined the Peace Corps and was sent to India. He later worked for Keith Jackson Realty in Aptos, then worked as a foreign service officer for the U.S. Department of State for 19 years. During his time with the Foreign Service, Mr. Hoff was posted to Mexico, Ecuador, Korea, Germany and England before completing his final assignment in Washington, D.C.

Michael Wayne Hoff died Thursday, July 30, 2009. He was 60.
A resident of Alexandria, Va., Mr. Hoff grew up in Aromas. He graduated from Watsonville High School and attended Cabrillo College for two years before transferring to San Francisco State University, where he earned a master's degree in English. After graduation, Mr. Hoff joined the Peace Corps and was sent to India. He later worked for Keith Jackson Realty in Aptos, then worked as a foreign service officer for the U.S. Department of State for 19 years. During his time with the Foreign Service, Mr. Hoff was posted to Mexico, Ecuador, Korea, Germany and England before completing his final assignment in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Hoff is survived by his wife, Julia Hoff; children, Kiersten, Erik and Chris; sister, Sherry Pennell; and mother, Penny Hoff of Aromas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Hoff.
