I taught in Paramus, NJ, Portland, and Beaverton, OR, Married Jack Kirkwood and have two children. Founding president and lobbyist for Oregon Substitute Teachers Association.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

We were young and may have been more effective with more life and work experience, but people accepted what skills we had to offer and our friendship. That was the best kind of diplomacy. It was a life-changing experience for me and used every talent I had.
