Work Description:

Health volunteer with 14 indigenous communities now called the Mayangna, then called Sumu.

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

When PC left Nicaragua in 1979, I stayed on with my husband, but left when the war entered our town. I returned later to Managua for a year. Joined USAID as a health development officer and served in Liberia, Bolivia, Ecuador, and the regional office in West Africa, as well as in Washington, DC Retired in 2001 to be an executive & life coach working mostly with international development professionals.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

Still the hardest, most rewarding job ever. My experience served me throughout my career.
