Thailand RPCV Harold Hayes releases his new book An American Opera in Prose
Putting the spotlight onto a stern African-American man, An American Opera in Prose centers on the American condition as understood by the author. It is about the endemic sorrows that Hayes sees as having always trailed the nation's prosperity. Through this striking opera, he hopes that he can aid readers in discovering an alternative to those sorrows. He offers not a solution or a program, but some terms in which to think.

Readers are in for a Striking Opera
New Book Presents Modern-Day Issues through Lingering Melodies
Alameda, CA (Vocus/PRWEB ) February 23, 2010 -- Author Harold Hayes treats opera-goers and literature lovers as he releases through Xlibris his new book An American Opera in Prose. This release will draw readers as it revolves around the themes of life and society.
An American Opera in Prose replaces music with the prosody and imagery of language to create episodes in which the chance encounters and conversations of diverse characters converge upon one emerging theme: the wisdom of bringing a biological perspective to the problems of life. Striking and eye-opening, it is an unforgettable book where the author applies the rigor of philosophical thought to problems he sees as fundamental to today's time, in a style more shamanistic than professorial.
