H. Ronald Pitt became Associate Provost for Academic Administration of Northern Arizona University in September 2000. In that capacity, he is responsible for:

* University Curriculum Committee

* Commencement

* Undergraduate Catalog

* Statewide Articulation with Community Colleges

* Legislative Internships

Dr. Pitt has more than 27 years of experience at a number of institutions, both nationally and abroad, including Oklahoma State University, Arizona State University, and Haarlem Business School, the Netherlands.

Dr. Pitt received his Bachelors degree from the University of Montana and his Masters and Doctoral degrees from Oklahoma State University in 1972 and 1978, respectively.

Dr. Pitt is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Accounting Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants. He served in the United States Army and The Peace Corps, in Chile, South America. Dr. Pitt has served on many University committees, and is currently Chair of the University Curriculum Committee, and Co-Chair of the Northern Arizona University/Coconino Community College Coordinating Council. He also presently serves as a member of the following committees: University Program Review Committee, Academic Advisors Council, Centennial Steering Committee, NAU/AWC Coordinating Council, Provost's Council, Enrollment Management Task Force, and Previews Steering Committee.

Dr. Pitt and his wife, Kay, a Senior Lecturer in the College of Business Administration at NAU, live in Flagstaff, Arizona with their two children.
