Your vacation on JADE QUEEN will be hosted by Captain Tim Wenger who has enjoyed sailing, chartering, and cruising for over 20 years. He has sailed to Hawaii, Mexico, Bermuda, and The Bahamas, but has spent most of his time in the Virgin Islands.

Tim has captained many yachts from 25’ to 75’and prefers chartering with two to four guests. This affords more personal attention, and allows him to know his guests and their needs better—just the type of holiday assured on a comfortable yacht like JADE QUEEN. Tim’s sailing and chartering experience will help make your cruise the ideal tropical vacation. he welcomes you to join him on a sail across Pillsbury Sound with the sun at your back and the breeze on your face. Quiet picturesque anchorage’s are plentiful and sunsets divine. Come aboard and watch a sunset while enjoying rum punch and hors D’oeuvres in Cane Garden Bay, or watch the moon rise between the hills of Peter Island. Wake up the next morning to soothing Trade Winds, and we’ll plan the day over breakfast on the spacious back deck. Then enjoy snorkeling over one of the many reefs, and petting an inquisitive fish at the Caves—or explore a corral tunnel off George Dog Island. Whatever your desires, Tim considers it is his job to make your time on JADE QUEEN your best vacation ever. So let him know if you want to fill your holiday with activities in, on, or under the water – or do nothing at all, lounging on deck while underway or in a secluded anchorage.

After earning his BA at Washington State University, he served in the Peace Corps in Somalia, Tim then settled in San Francisco where he taught 7th grade, which was followed by a 10 year career as a Mortgage Banker. His real estate investments allowed him to build his own 50’ sloop which he chartered in the San Juan Islands summers, while chartering in the Virgin Islands in the winter.
